Is it possible to create a 30-meter billboard from a single 4K video frame?

The starting point was a single frame extracted from the advertising campaign of EBRO and Forasters Studio

«El Bombo de todos.» Like any video frame, it came with its own limitations: motion blur, camera shake, digital noise, and a resolution far too low for large-format printing.

The goal wasn’t simply to upscale the image. It had to be meticulously reconstructed until it looked like a professionally captured photograph, suitable for printing on a 30-meter billboard at the highest quality.

The real challenge, however, was accuracy.

The subjects are well-known public figures, so preserving their identity was essential. Every facial feature, expression, and proportion had to remain true to the original. The same level of precision was required for the official Spanish National Team kit, where badges, logos, typography, stitching, textures, and every other detail had to be reproduced with absolute fidelity.

Achieving this result required a meticulous reconstruction process that combines advanced traditional post-production techniques with AI-powered tools.

Artificial intelligence doesn’t replace the expertise of a professional retoucher—it extends what’s possible when used with skill, judgment, and an established professional workflow.

The final image was reconstructed at over 15K resolution and 300 DPI, ready for large-format printing and capable of withstanding close inspection without losing its credibility.

Watch the video to see the before-and-after transformation.

A single video frame, a 30-meter billboard, and a technical challenge that seemed almost impossible.

I share the complete reconstruction process behind a final image exceeding 15K resolution, created using a professional workflow that combines traditional post-production techniques with artificial intelligence while preserving absolute fidelity in every detail.
